Privacy

This website collects no personal data. It sets no cookies, has no analytics or tracking, and has no forms. Nothing you type or tick on it, such as the letter checklist on the grants page, is saved or sent anywhere.

The "Copy" buttons put text on your own clipboard and the "Print it" button opens your own printer dialog. Nothing leaves your device.

The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for the font files. Google's handling of that request is covered by the Google Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab). The "Open in Maps" links take you to Google Maps or Apple Maps only if you choose to follow them.

If you write to the Society, your letter is handled by the Society. Ask it, by mail, if you have a question about what it does with letters.

Appendix B

Accessibility

This website is built to be used by as many people as possible. It has been built for:

  • Keyboard use. Everything works without a mouse, with a visible focus outline and a "Skip to content" link. The contents menu opens and closes from the keyboard, and Escape closes it.
  • Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, the plates stop moving, the falling leaves and snow are turned off, and the set pieces appear already finished.
  • Contrast. Body text is dark ink on cream paper, and text over photographs sits on a paper panel or wash so it stays readable.
  • Alt text. Photographs and drawings that carry meaning have text descriptions; decorative drawings are hidden from screen readers.
  • Zoom and small screens. Pages reflow from wide desktops down to narrow phones without sideways scrolling.

If something does not work for you, please write to the Society at 122 Cocheco Rd, Farmington, NH 03835, say which page and what happened, so it can be looked at.
